Odyssey Walking Weeks in Poros & Surrounding Area
The area known as the Saronic Gulf is located close to Athens and along the coastline of Attica and the Peloponnesos. The Saronic Gulf is one of the most beautiful areas in Greece, and is a beautiful area for hiking all year round. Poros, but also surrounding islands such as Aegina, Hydra and Spetses and the volcanic Methana peninsula offer a great variety of natural and inviting environments for wonderful walks.
In these weeks we will take you on some beautiful hikes on Poros and surroundings.
Spring and autumn are the best time for lovely walks in the area. You can also take walks during the summer, in that case an early start is recommended in relation to the sometimes high afternoon temperatures that can surpass 40 degrees Celsius.
We especially invite groups, 50’s or singles, to take part in our walking activities. Of course also people in other age groups are welcome. While hiking you discover the abundantly wooded surroundings, with some walking tracks that are also good for some intensive “Nordic walking”. Don’t hesitate to contact us for more information.
We will me having moderate day walks, 3-5 hours per day (excluding breaks) on hilly to mountainous areas using old, sometimes stony paths.
You will be accompanied and taken care of in every step.
